A quiet corner late on a winter afternoon at the top of Turret Falls in the Grampians in Victoria.
For some reason, I'm rather suddenly drawn to monochrome. This simple scene seemed particularly suited to a monochrome rendition on account of the graphic shapes, and removing colour adds to the abstraction.
I have a notification of a new post on here but when I click on it it tells I am not allowed to see the page. Would anyone know why that is? Seems strange to me.
I don't know if this is the male or the female, but we've had this nest of wood pigeons that we've been taking care of for the last few weeks.
I used Hasselblad X2D II 100C plus 75 3.4 P lens. The original shot was boring. I made it mono and then just used sliders to get whatever would result. This is it.
I had taken my wife to Jackson, Wyoming at Christmas time so that we could ride in a "One Horse Open Sleigh". Dog it was cold!
I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.

The whirlpool is particularly suited to monochrome.
