Two-Finger Salute

Playing around with a new 20mm lens just for fun, and to see what can be achieved without a perspective-correction lens or view camera, having a low horizon while avoiding converging verticals.

I recall Ansel Adams, a great influence on me as with many others, writing that completely removing such convergence can result in a disconcerting "looming" (I'm not sure he used that very word) effect. I'm inclined to agree; this image has negligible convergence, and is beginning to "loom" to my eye.
