It's pretty hard to stay creative during a lockdown and especially our 6th one in Victoria, Australia but when you're partner is a model and makeup artist, one kinda gets motivated to kill the time.
It also helps when one has boxes full of things to play with and in this case we had...

This was a simple setup using 2 hair lights at the back with a blue and a red gel.
Key light was a 1.2m parabolic softbox.
I hate the term "fine art" but I don't know what else exactly to call these besides just black and white.
This is not a good shot in the way we ould normally think of but I at least the got the eye dead sharp of this 5-7 day old Wood Pigeon which we have done our best to protect both parents.
I spotted this blackbird tucked among the leaves. Unlike most birds, it didn’t flinch when I raised my camera it simply stayed put, almost as if it was posing for the shot.
This is deeply meaningful to me. Surviving and blossoming despite all attempts to stop me blossoming on my own terms.
