Morning Light on Sensual Stone
This an extract of a larger area, an isolated area on the Colorado Plateau. I used a Toyo 45A with a 65mm Sinaron Lens, a Green #61 filter and T-Max 100 film, which I processed in my darkroom. In these cases low contrast is always an issue. We have to learn to "kick" contrast up several stops, since the actual scene brightness range was less than one stop. I do enjoy these areas, realizing that the time will come when I cannot go there anymore, old legs. But for now, that time isn't here yet.

Thanks Nathan. There are such wonderful lines and textures to these rocks.
I can see your dilemma with the lack of tonal range but I think you have done a good job in extracting detail.
Thank you.
I can't add anything to what Mr. Brown as already stated, but I sure enjoy viewing zoomed in.
Thank you. I am a fortunate man to have seen so many beautiful things before they were discovered and overrun by people with no sensitivity, understanding and little appreciation for the beauty, beyond getting a picture to post on FB. And. please pardon my cynicism.
I love these layers, Nathan. Again - another photo that feels like movement even though there isn't any. Nice work.
