Boring Christmas Decorations

The boring Fall colors are gone. The only color in Harry's and my neighborhood is on the outdoor Christmas decorations. And since they are essentially the same (boring!) as in previous years, I took a radically different approach this year.

Each of these included more than twenty source images loaded into Photoshop as separate layers. Then I applied the auto-blend feature, and since the layers did not align with one another, weird stuff happened. But I promise, if you look hard enough, you will find Santa Claus, reindeer, inflatable snowmen, and decorative balls.

When I took the source images, I held the camera as steady as I could. The misalignment you can see was a function of my being old, it being very cold (it was 27 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday!), and Harry tugging on his leash. I think he was cold, too, even though he was wearing his Eagles coat.

Well, you certainly turned boring into memorable. I like how the colors came out for you in all of them. How about "The Shivering Shutter Chronicles: Holiday Edition" - Lol. Your neighbors should appreciate you and Harry's heroic attempt! Enjoyed your post, Andrew! Merry Christmas!

Cool! I really like the first one and the last two.

Needs Work!

I see these comments on many photos - BTW - those who are putting comments like "Needs Work" should elaborate to say what is needed according to them.
