Easy enough to execute. Just place a glass object on a Tablet that is displaying an light pattern
The first is an in-camera triple exposure of a Cruet (oil and vinegar dispenser for those peasants out there...like me).
Second is the top of a glass butter dish upside down and set spinning during exposure. It was difficult keeping the spinning top centered.
The final is a glass insulator manufactured in December 1950.
Typical setup.
Cool! These would make great logos!
This is a really cool idea. Never thought to use a tablet as a source of light. Thanks for the idea!
I tried making my own pattern using Microsoft Paint. Didn't turn out as well.
Also tried an Excel spreadsheet and using background fill on the cells.
Really, really cool ideas! I especially love the Microsoft Excel - never thought of that app in terms of art, only work. Lol!
The first and last are kind of pedestrian but the second one is great! Looks like your second photo on the left.
Spinning was more interesting to me as well, rather than a static photo.
There were a couple that were total failures as you can imagine.
Interesting idea Dean, thanks for sharing. The use a tablet as a light/ (or background) source is wise as the possibilities are infinite.
I have seen something similar shooting water droplets from above, with a tablet below, your take offers new opportunities.
I'd love to see this idea expanded further - anyone up for a challenge?
I am thinking about making a Bokeh filter...never tried it before.
