Reflections of Opportunity

The Willamette river ranks 19th in volume among rivers in the United States (about 37,400 cubic feet per second [1,060 m3/s]), so I was a bit surprised to catch a still moment of little water and air movement.

The 'vignette' is from foliage on this side of the river. My intention that morning was capturing creatures in flight camera set as Fv mode with ISO set to AUTO, but I took advantage of an opportunity.

f/8 ~ 1/1600 sec ~ ISO 4000 ~ 500mm

Nice reflection Dean, the water must have been very still that day.

Thanks for sharing

Beautiful reflection, Dean. I like it in black and white because it seems to help focus on the extent of the reflection and calmness of the water.
