January ~ Something New

I took this shot with a new "nifty fifty mm" 1.8 lens I received for Christmas. It was late at night in old town Geneva. It shows reflections of a closed restaurant window washing over the tiled tables. I got the lens specifically to experiment more with night photography

Interesting image Steven. It will be interesting to see what you capture with this lens.
Are you planning to shoot wife’s open (for shallower depth of field, or increased shutter speed)?

For the night stuff I'll probably do a lot fairly wide. In this case it was all the way at 1.8 as I wanted the low depth. I'm also happy with the softness of the boke
