I like this, James! Particularly having only the reflections, and their being suggestive, yet ambiguous. The warm, subdued colour & tonal palette also takes the image further from the cool look we (I?) expect from water, adding to the appeal. Simple in concept, but well executed and very effective . Well done.

Thanks Chris and Dan. I appreciate your comments and insight. I don’t usually think that way while shooting or stylizing so I find your observations most enlightening. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. I’m with Dan re: Jay Maisel.

Chris, great image! I appreciate the dichotomy created by the ripples in the water and the straight geographic grid / lines of the buildings and their features. Lest I stray too far afield, this would make a great jigsaw puzzle image. My parents always have one underway and I could see them being challenged by this..... Well envisioned and executed!
