For iPhone users - a new version of Bluristic has dropped (v1.8) which offers new features and significant improvements in stability & useability.
I am interested in learning Macro/Closeup photography and understanding that Focus Bracketing is a good part of the process, I thought I would give focus stacking a try.
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.
Was down in Austin for a bit on a work trip. I've always heard how beautiful the skyline is from the river.
Was a little let down by the clouds, but what can I do!
My two favourite images from my recent night time adventure in Tenerife. Foregrounds and skies were shot separately and blended in PS.

Excellent work - I really like both images!👍🏻
My comments on the coke image would be that i’m not so sure about the bubbles background and I’m not sure about the high & centre light on all the bottles, personally I prefer bottles lit from the side but this is just my preference (so don’t read anything into that!).
The Voss image is very clean and my only comments would be it perhaps lacks a little punch and i’m Not so sure about the water rings... (I think the perspective may be a bit off but I’m not sure).
Hope these personal opinions help but they’re really strong images - good job!👍🏻
Thanks Ian!
I agree with you about the strong center high light on the coke bottles- this was at the beginning of my exercises, and hadn't considered side lighting. The background is actually drops of water, the intention was to invoke "refreshing".
The water rings were created with an image I found online and modified to fit the image. I wanted to create the ripples but could not figure out (or find a tutorial) on how to make that effect convincingly.
I totally get the ‘refreshing’ part... thinking about it a bit more, I think that it’s the discontinuity between the back drop and ‘floor’ that jars a littler perhaps. It’s only a very minor point on a strong image!
Regarding the water rings... i’ve Never found a decent way to create them in post convincingly either, I just shoot them these days! All you need is a shallow tray full of water, a diffuser with a flash behind it for the background and then drip water into the tray!👍🏻
