Austin Healey 100M - Car fine art

Car fine art shot using the FDL Technique (focuses diffused lighting). I'm still practicing this technique. I am surprised every time I put the exposures together. You can only imagine the outcome of the shot when you are shooting it. This keeps it really interesting.

very cool, would love to see a rendition of this technique with someone in the drivers seat.

This is really beautiful, Thomas.

I love this technique, love your shots with it. Can't wait to get some more lighting equipment to try it. I heard somewhere (maybe from you?) that with a bright enough flash and fast enough shutter speeds you can get this in daylight? Does that sound right?

Yes that's the start. You can do it everywhere

Thomas, beautiful shot. I had 3 different Healey 3000's over 10 years in my youth so your shot brings back some nice memories. What modifier(s) are you using for this?

Awesome youth! Great that I brought back those memories! I use a speedlight with beautydish and a diffuser panel.

Very hard shot to pull off, but a rewarding one when you get it right. Well done !

Thank you Adrian. Yes the outcome will always be a big surprise.

Such an effective and great technique. You make it look effortless.
