Athens photos

A few shots from the winter of 2025. The last one was inside of the Acropolis Museum. (Unfortunately, I could get everyone to walk exactly where I wanted them to. hahaha)

Hello Mr. Mercier,

I really appreciate your photography for not just the effort you put into it, but that the places you photograph I will never have the chance to visit. The oldest structures in the places I have been are generally only 100 years old (Western United States).

I understand how you feel about complete strangers not following your mental composition just because then don't have either telepathy or if they do, they don't have the photographers eye and think they know better... sheesh.

Thanks. Yeah, the first time I saw a huge, 2000 year old entrance arch in France, I was like... wow!

You're right, the state of telepathy today is just sad.

Thanks for posting such historically rich photos Charles.
These act as a good reminder that we can look closer and capture more refined compositions than the average tourist might pick out.

Thanks so much. I think a lot of photographers don't take much time to just get out and walk around and look at everything. I saw a fstoppers video where some professional photographer set up at one spot and waited for hours and maybe a couple of days for one shot. My thought was, I could have taken hundreds of good > great shots elsewhere!

Nice shots, Charles! I really love the last one a lot. Thank you for "taking us with you" on your journey!

Thank you! It's better than just having them stored on my computer alone.
