Vintage Lens

Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.

"Reaching" - 'Sambucus nigra', as my wife calls it, or Black Lace Elderberry for the rest of us.

"Waiting for Strawberries" - 'Volunteer' strawberries. I don't have a clue as to how long there have been here of who planted them.

"Lavender and Clover" We have so many flowers to choose from to photograph...al long as the lighting is good and it is not raining too hard.

"Opening" Jude the Obscure rose is very difficult for me to photograph because once it begins to open the color fades and loses any contrast under direct sunlight...but the aroma is out of this world.

Gorgeous photos, Dean! These are all a pleasure to look at! So gentle and peaceful.

This image was done in late 1980s on Polaroid's instant slide film Polapan - a prefect film for beauty and boudoir photography as skin tones were rendered silky.
