Nothing to fancy, just a Raptor and a few frames from a smoke grenade. 55mm at f/8, 320iso. 3 layers of smoke blending and 2 layers of polarizer and reflection correcting. Then a color grade to tie it all in. Pretty happy with how this one came out!

This is cool though im not sure im loving that line straight down the middle, it doesnt feel like its defining a significant separation. Seems like you'd need more contrast between composites to pull that off. Maybe dramatic split toning between composites would be appropriate.
2nd to that, I like the smoke effect but it feels excessive to me. I think the execution of this shot is awesome, it just needs a couple of adjustments so the elements feel a bit more cohesive.
Yeah I agree, if it was a purposeful stylistic decision I would like to see some thematic different between the right and the left. Like beautiful clear skies on one side and smoking desolation on the other. Also the line would have to continue beneath the truck as well.
yeah def not loving the line myself, i have to say i agree. I thought about trying to clone the pillar out (we were under a bridge) but just couldn't really make it look right.
Ohhh yeah I totally didn't see that was a column. The smoke obscures one side of it so it just looks like a random line. I thought it might have been a line between two composited photos or something. You might actually go in the other direction and make the right side of the column to make it more recognizable. Cause I know you're not that bad at photoshop but the rest of the internet might not :)
hmm may give that a whirl today, you may be right... ill see what i can come up with and post the result
Awesome styling, but I agree with the other two. The split background throws me off. I had to look at it for a second to make sure it wasn’t some kind of “compare backgrounds” photos. The truck, the setting (minus the split), the fog, all of that is excellent.
