Shot of the New York City skyline and Brooklyn Bridge across the East River from Brooklyn Bridge Park.
I used a 4 stop ND filter to streak the clouds and soften the water. Using luminosity masking, I manually blended together two images in Photoshop, one with the sunset and the other with the city lights on during blue hour. I edited further in Photoshop to add midtone contrast, bring the highlights down, sharpen, fix keystoning, etc.
Would love some CC on this. What do you guys think? Thanks!
Is a nice photo, love the long exposure in the water and the lines that the movement of the clouds create. In my own personal opinion, you are trying to capture half of Manhattan in one single frame, for stronger impact in your photo I would choose a tighter composition, maybe somewhere where I can get the Brooklyn bridge and the new WTC, tight in the buildings of the WTC, its just my own taste.
Great photo!
Thank you very much for the feedback, Cesar! Good point and certainly worth investigating a tighter crop. Thanks!
