Have you been to the Falklands, and would you go back?
On a cruise around South America in 2016 we stopped in Port Stanley on the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas). We booked an independent excursion to Volunteer Point in the very northeast of the East Falkland island. It was such a bumpy ride that at times we had our hand bracing on the inside of the roof to prevent our head hitting the roof of the Land Rover.
There was a very large King Penguin colony, a smaller Gentoo Penguin colony, and Magellanic Penguins in burrows at the top of the beach.
No that our photography skills and camera gear has improved were thinking of possibly going back. What do others think? Or can you recommend other places to go for excellent penguin photography?
