This little heron was terrorizing the frogs and tadpoles in my pond. In one image a tadpole is looking into oblivion.

this saltwater crocodile (about 3.5 metres in length) lives in a waterhole close to a shack I own about an hour south of Darwin (Aust)

This is a too busy image but Dragon and Damsel flies are some of the most colorful insects on earth. I caught these two making love in my meadow.

Eagle

I often take a camera with me on daily hikes in the forest. Quite by accident I surprised a Bull Elk and his harem of cows along a park road. Lucky for me a vehicle stopped to view the spectacle.

Spotted this hawk (Red Tailed, I think) on Plum Island the other day.

Took a quick trip out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming after Thanksgiving, and was able to get some shots of the bighorn sheep out there.

Beautiful colors albeit a common bird

Saw this one sitting in a tree across the river in NH.

With its pink feathers, red eye staring out from a partly bald head, and a spoon shaped bill, the Roseate Spoonbill looks as if it came out of a Dr. Seuss book.

I came upon this Blue Heron sitting on the side of a small cliff trying to stay warm. It was a blistery cold winter day last winter.

When walking at Greentree Park in Kirkwood Mo. I was startled by screeching above my head. As hawks often do four birds mysteriously appeared.

This eagle had a Cormorant and was being attacked by the local Seagulls, although the Seagulls are not in the photo, they would come in and try to steal the Cormorant.

'Golden Geese' at sunrise. Feel like I was in the right spot at the right time. The golden morning light, mist rising off the lake, and the geese add something interesting to the photo.
