The Watchful Eye

I can’t get the shot if I’m not out there shooting. Time well spent at the local dock… this Eagle was busy feeding off a fish, enabling me to get a bit closer.

Honey Bee Pollenating Flowers

Photo of a honey bee on flowers (not sure what kind of flowers). This was a shot that I almost deleted after looking at it on the camera screen. Glad I chose not to.

Sleepy

There were a family of Canadian Wild Geese walking down the road one spring afternoon, the older geese were leading these two little geese and stopped for a rest.

Mt. Lion

Took a trip to the NC Zoo yesterday. This is my favorite photo from the trip. It was close to closing time and these cats were pacing back and forth. I’m assuming it was close to feeding time.

First bird photos

I'm not really a wildlife photographer, but I thought I'd take a stab at bird photography. I learned that birds are ridiculously uncooperative.

Heron

Not sure about the wing position , any help would be appreciated

Australian Sheep Blowfly.

This is a 20 image live stack using the Sony A71V with the 90mm Goss Macro lens. The flash setup is a pair of Meike wireless Mk-R20011 flashes set up on independent flex arms.

Alien World

Never though of looking at the small ponds on rocky beaches for the best anemones, but after a few days I finally managed to find one that allowed a few good photos.

Wild Horse

This photograph was taken from my trip to the South Steens Herd Management Area managed by the Bureau of Land Management in the Steens Mountain.
