First Horizon Blend

This is an image of the Whiteford Point cast iron lighthouse on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. The lighthouse is the last wave washed lighthouse of it's kind in the UK.

Having seen so many fine art images with blended horizons that look so good I wanted to try this technique and this was the perfect subject. It's an image I've wanted for sometime and although I didn't get exactly the right conditions they were good enough.

I hope you like it and, as always, constructive comments are welcome.

The result you achieved is a success for me. There is no transition from water to horizon visible. Just endless grey tones. Thd birds on the handrail give it a 'lost place' appearance. Well done,!
