I had rotator cuff surgery this past May, and I've had a lot of time to think (insert joke here). And I was lucky enough to get to spend the holidays this past year in Paris where I saw a lot of Renaissance artwork and architecture. For about two months, I've been slowly attempting to put together a photographic style with a Renaissance painting feel. This photo is the first one I really feel fits what I'm looking for. What it needs now is the completion of the background which has been much harder than I thought. I'm really open to any suggestions.

lovely body art. The color pops!
I love that you are taking your time to incrementally build the photograph you want. I agree that a different background could go a long ways here. The model is posting nicely and this is beautifully lit. My one piece of feedback is that I feel like the saturation is a just subtly too high on her skin, as there are areas that seem to be a little too pink (the highlight on her cheek and nose for example). Again, this is just ever so slight. Great work!
