Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
"Reaching" - 'Sambucus nigra', as my wife calls it, or Black Lace Elderberry for the rest of us.
Any interest in this group?
Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
Vintage Lenses
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

These photos were taken just outside of a small town in central Portugal.

Both look good! Perhaps I would pay some attention to the shadow on the lower half of the face in the first image. Catch-light in the eyes is wonderful.
Thank you Craig!
So, reduce the shadow under her lip and on her right cheek?
Awesome portrait/headshot. The BW photo could use a bit of exposure, however, im no expert. The second image is awesome because it seems so natural. The lighting, your child's body langauge, facial expression all combined to create a remarkable photo. Good luck.
I really think the first photo is more about her expression, so it dominate the headshot. You have to look partially at this photography just to criticize something and it would be the crop, because the expression dominate all criticism. The second photograph is just poetic, soft and real, great shot.
Love both. I'd just change the crop as Darrel said, and maybe a touch more exposure/sharpness/contrast on the face in the second, but that could just be the monitor/jpg.
I remember the first post of these and the first one is now a lot better. With the lighter lower face, this is now a really good shot - the shadow did distract from the great expression.
