Deer on the Beach
I don't normally shoot directly towards the sun, but...
While I was waiting to photograph my wife and my sister (two separate individuals) horseback riding on the beach, I looked south and w-a-y off in the distance I saw a deer walking near the water.
I edited the photo with a 50% crop with tonality and a fine art sort of feel. Perhaps oil on canvas?

I do like the tonality of this image. It does have a fine art feel to it. I love the misty-ness on the left side. Nice work, Dean.
I apologize. I have no idea how this post got duplicated!?!Posting from out of town on a different Wi-Fi connect through VPN perhaps?
There seems to be a lot of noise in this Dean, especially noticeable in the sky. That said I think it really adds to the image (although I'm sure some purists might disagree) and gives it more of the painterly feel you suggested.
The tones and sense of atmosphere are really nice in the image, as PG has pointed out.
I can't say I've ever seen or heard of deer wandering onto beaches, is this a common event?
On the North Oregon Coast the most common are Columbian Black-tailed Deer, and Roosevelt Elk.
The community of Cannon Beach has a herd near by that sometimes cruises through town.
