Hi. My name is Derek, and I shoot Headshots. It sounds like I'm starting a twelve step program for an addiction... and that may just be a little true. I've been shooting headshots for a couple years, and have become fascinated with learning how to capture the human face with light. I'm really looking forward to learning more about this form of art, and am happy to share what little I've learned along the way.
Hey Everyone! 20 year old Photographer from Missouri, USA. I specialize in pets, but would love to branch out into portraits and headshots! Attached is my own headshot/self portrait, which I shot about a month ago!
Happy to be here! I'm a headshot and portrait photographer in the Bay Area, still trying to navigate through this site. When I do I'll post some pics. Not sure if I'm allowed to post my website? It's under construction but it's www.missygoldwynphotography.com
Hi! I'm Sherlock. I've always loved taking pictures, but never really bothered learning about photography. I got an iPhone a couple of years ago and I loved it so much. I started taking pictures of everything but still not really learning. In May my Grandpa got me a Canon T6 and I've been going ever since. I've been immersing myself in learning anything I can.
This is the first set of images I took with my camera after quickly "memorizing" the triangle. My daughter didn't want anyone but me doing her senior photos, so we did these. It was fun. We are going to do more soon, even though it will be late. But it really lit a fire in me I didn't know I had anymore. I hope to learn even more here and grow.
I got into photography in 2014. I didn't want to shoot people, certainly not!
As I practiced real estate photography, I got roped into my first headshot. It was paid, my first paid gig, so I knew I should do it.
It didn't come out great, so I looked for education on YouTube. I found Peter Hurley and joined the Crew. I became an associate in less than a year, in December.
Hi everyone,
I'm a headshot photographer from Newcastle in the north east of England.
Really enjoying looking through the great work in here.
Here are a couple of recent ones from me.
My name is Moataz , am an Egyptian.. 31 years of age .... am an amateur actually i have never hold a camera till last night with a cute lil girl .. i wish i could learn more .. Thanks
Hi everyone, my name is Javier, I´m from Neuquen, Argentina. I´m a mostly self taught photographer, I love portraits, boudoir and nude photography, but I always try to do something new. Wishing to share my photographs here and see what you guys do too.
Hello everyone! My name is Adrianna. I'm a photographer based in Lublin, Poland. I specialize in beauty photography but I also love fashion and wedding.
I'm glad to be here and share with you one of my beauty shots.
I'm a full-time headshot photographer based in Atlanta. Love Dylan Patrick's work. Refer to your course often. Recently I'm seeing a trend in corporate photography going to backgrounds other than paper. The view through a window, outdoors, and environmental shots. Looking forward to the interaction in this group.
Hi everyone! I’m a hobbyist photographer who is trying to get a Headstart on what I want my career to be after I’m done being a manufacturing worker. I love all things portrait photography, family photos, weddings, but recently I’ve started diving into head shots because I have a unique in route with my local sports writers. I’m a minor Twitter personality when it comes to my beloved Cincinnati Bengals, so being able to interact with the B riders has given me the opportunity to provide them with professional headshot‘s. I’m hoping by doing a couple of them for free in exchange for using those images for my portfolio, I will begin to garner demand amongst their coworkers. I still have a lot to learn, and I look forward to discussing my future projects with all of you. Please, feel free to critique my images, offer advice, provide any resources that you feel will help me improve. I appreciate you very much. Thank you.
I mainly shoot portraits of animals .. horses and dogs .. Just recently bought the Fstoppers course with Patrick - gotta say i loved the course and it is inspiring me to tray human head shots :-) As many of you have uploaded some of your portraits I thought only fair to post one of mine :-)
I'm just an old man with no formal training and a camera attempting to capture the souls of my friends and their kids. Wife kicked me out of the basement and relegated to our small dining room in which to take photos. These 2 are father & son
Hi everyone. I decided to put myself out there and meet others passionate about headshots. Although I spend the majority of my time either training actors and singers or performing myself, I do have a side passion of taking headshots. I'm trying hard to improve each time I press that shutter button, so I hope to gain lots of knowledge and learn from much better photogs than myself and get some constructive critique of my own work as well.
here's one i just did today. basic lightroom retouch
Hello everyone, and thanks for the welcome! I'm new to the Fstoppers site as well as this group, and it's great to see everyone so welcoming.
I've been shooting for a long time, but just recently decided to make a business out of it. I also enjoy messing round with new techniques and different styles! As for my photography, I guess the best way is just to show it to you! (feedback is always appreciated!)
Hello. My name is Dan Acker and I am a semi-pro photographer in the Greater Philadelphia area. I focus on headshot, portrait and commercial photography.
Hello group! I've recently crossed over from shooting everything else to headshots and portraits. I'm in "soaking it all in" mode. I've got my sights on being the best headshot guy in South Carolina. I have a lot to learn but that's where I'm aiming.
So I'll be watching all of you. :-) Feel free to critique, suggest, recommend, advise... whatever. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
Hello all! I'm a little late to the party. I'm Matthew Lacy from Indiana, and though I don't generally shoot headshots, I do have one good photo I'd love to share. This was taken behind the line at a local high school football game. The kid is one of the team's ball boys, and he helpfully posed for me with his ball. I'm not entirely certain that this is a "traditional headshot", but I figured I'd share it anyway. I'd love to hear what you think.
Hi friends! My name is Pete and I am a headshot photographer located in Garden City, NY. Nice to meet you all - looking forward to being a part of the Fstoppers community!

Howdy from Chicago! I'm a film director by trade which is why I gravitate to headshot photography. I just love working with actors too darn much!
