New Lens = Play Time
I picked up an RF100 f/2.8 L Macro lens and thought I would practice and see what I could come up with.
All photos are multiple image focus stacked.
1: "The Experience" this was my first shot with the lens and I think it contains 20 images.
2: "500 Miles of Bad Road" the Variable Checkerspot came home with us from vacation... on the front grill of our vehicle. 250 images stacked.
3: "Needle in the Eye" you may remember when I was photographing idioms. 203 stacked.
4: "Fly-Butterfly" 200 images of a dead house fly on a butterfly bush (Buddleia: a great pollinator for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds).
5: "The Cube" another 200 stacked set of a fluorite cube.

Quite remarkable Dean, you really have nailed the focus stacking process.
Have to say though that I’m not quite sure what I’m looking at with the last.
Thank you, Sir. The fluorite cube measures 1-1/2" on the sides and has a beveled edge.
