5 Common Beginner Landscape Photography Mistakes

Landscape photography is a challenging but rewarding genre that requires the confluence of several different facets of technique and knowledge in order to produce a winning shot. If you are new to the genre and ready to improve, check out this fantastic video tutorial that features an experienced pro sharing five common mistakes beginners make and how to fix them.

Coming to you from Mark Denney, this awesome video tutorial discusses five common mistakes new landscape photographers make and how to fix them. One that I particularly agree with is only editing globally. One of the best habits you can get into is using local editing tools to draw attention to your subjects, enhance things like contrast, and adjust color. And this does not have to be done with overly complex tools or techniques. Lightroom has some very useful and straightforward tools for accomplishing even intricate edits. Be sure to take advantage of the program's powerful automated masking tools and other features like the radial masking tool, which enable precise and efficient post-processing. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Denney.
