One of the simplest ways to improve is to expand your creative palette a bit. One way to do this is to grab a longer lens the next time you head out. Most of us generally default to focal lengths between about 14mm and 35mm for landscape work, and while there is a good reason for that, we can get stuck in that range. A longer focal length can help you create entirely new images, even at places you frequently visit, which can shake you lose from a routine. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Marr.
