Helpful Tips for Selling Landscape Photo Prints

One of the most common ways to make money through landscape photography is to sell prints, but with such a crowded market, it can be tricky to stand out. This excellent tutorial discusses some of the best-selling types of prints as well as some helpful tips for maximizing your sales.

Coming to you from Nigel Danson, this great video tutorial discusses the types of landscape photo prints that sell well and some helpful tips for generating more profits. While a lot of us would love to photograph and sell prints of some of the world's most iconic locations, a lot of the photographers I have met who have had the most success selling prints sell images of their local area. Customers have likely seen hundreds of images of places like the Grand Canyon, but on the other hand, how many photographers are making prints of that well-known tree or landscape in your small town? People are likely to feel a stronger emotional connection to local features, and less photographers have the kind of expertise to render it in the best possible way that you do. Don't overlook these images in the chase for more grandiose scenes. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Danson.

Finding a nich market is helpful and makes it easier to stand out. I have started selling my B/W metal inspired prints. https://avadhutgita.myshopify.com/

99% of my landscape prints are sold at a local shop and are generally the ones with in a 2 hour drive of our town. People always comment how they didn't realize how good the area looked.
