How to Create Better Landscape Photo Compositions

Landscape photography takes a wide variety of skills and techniques in order to find success, and often, just a bit of luck thrown in. However, one skills that tends to elude photographers more than any other is composition. If composition is something you tend to find yourself struggling with, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will show you a range of helpful advice sure to improve your landscape image compositions.

Coming to you from Mike Smith, this excellent video tutorial will give you some excellent tips and advice for improving your landscape photo compositions. One particularly salient tip Smith shares is minding your edges. Naturally, we tend to focus on the center of the image, and it can be easy to miss a stray branch or the like making its way into the frame. Often, this can be taken care of rather easily in Photoshop, but on the other hand, if you practice getting it right in camera, you will probably find yourself doing a better job of paying attention to other parts of the composition as well. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Smith.
