Simple Editing Tricks for Adding Emphasis to Your Landscape Photos

Almost no landscape image is finished when you press the shutter; pretty much every photo you take is going to require some level of editing to produce a finished product. Editing does not have to be complicated, though. This fantastic video tutorial features an experienced landscape photographer sharing some useful and straightforward techniques for creating compelling edits of your landscape images.

Coming to you from Adam Gibbs, this excellent video tutorial shares some great tips for creating eye-catching landscape photo edits with simple techniques. As powerful and intricate as modern editing software can be, it can be tempting to think you need to be equally complex in your approach to editing, but that could not be further from the truth. Often, all a well-composed and exposed landscape image needs are some basic adjustments to contrast and color and perhaps a quick local adjustment or two. As a challenge, the next time you are editing a landscape image, try doing so in three minutes or less; you might be surprised by what a refreshing approach it can be. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Gibbs.
