Six Months With the Nikon Z8 as a Landscape Photographer

The Nikon Z8 has been out for over six months now. The camera has many promising new features, but is it the best camera for landscape photography? This is a look at the Z8 after six months of usage by a landscape photographer.

Photographers have had a little over six months to obtain and use the new Nikon Z8 camera. It blends a powerful set of features for still photographers with some impressive video capability, making it a powerhouse of a camera. In this video, Nigel Danson provides his review of the camera after six months of usage from Iceland.

Danson provides an excellent overview of the Nikon Z8 from a landscape photographer’s perspective. He calls out several things the camera does very well, including improved button placement, a two-way tilt screen, a sensor shield, and improved focus, both in low light and general speed. As a YouTube creator, Danson also highlights the video features of the Nikon Z8.

The camera has some cons for the landscape photographer, though. Its size and weight are large for photographers who often carry their gear over distances on strenuous trails. The features of the Nikon Z8 also come with a price. By the end, Danson provides his thoughts and recommendations for the landscape photographer.

I was excited to see this video. I am primarily a landscape photographer and was curious about the Nikon Z8 as an upgrade. Danson’s video helps provide valuable feedback from actual field usage.
