Landscape photography can be a mentally taxing thing at times, with a variety of different things to keep track of, all while trying to be creative as well. Sometimes, the answer is to try some simple things to reinvigorate your work, and this fun video will give you a few ideas.
Coming to you from First Man Photography, this great video features a few simple ideas for improving your landscape photography. One thing the video mentions that I am a big advocate of is approaching composition from the standpoint of what to include and what to exclude. We often think of composition in a very additive manner, continuing to insert more elements to balance the others out, or we use some sort of prescribed heuristic approach like the rule of thirds to create the frame without much individual thought. However, knowing how to take elements out of the frame can often lead to stronger, more compelling images where things are in better harmony and not competing for the viewer's attention.
