It's actually a very nice photo as a concept, however it's a bit too noisy and the edits don't really hit the mark. I think a slightly longer exposure and I'd hang this on my wall
Of course..that was the intent! But that is what I love about art. The expressive possibilities and the ability (if you choose) to color (or mono) outside the lines, your call. I appreciate the constructive criticism. Let there be...disharmony.
Tremendous setting moon. One of the things I find fascinating about DEVA and the bulk of it's visitors like at the location I presume you were at here. Parking lot packed full couple of hour before sunrise, post sunrise with 5 - 20 mins. you've got the place to yourself with occasional visitors who stroll around for a few minute, read the plagues and they are gone
I was not being critical. I just thought it unlikely that the moon and that particular Mountain View could be photographed with same lens. Similar to your photo “Moonset Death Valley. Was it taken with a 300 mm lens? I like the photos and I am interested in your technique.

Of course, I wasn't talking abt the b&w, it actually works great. Just needs a couple touches. But yeah, art is definitely subjective
As it should be.

Spot on Paul. It really took us by surprise.
Composite photo?
No sir! Never done a composite photo in my life.

Oh, I didn't take it a criticism. I rented a 400mm for Death Valley to isolate the dunes. The lens was great but much too heavy for my taste.
