Having a wife that will humor your requests while taking a photo has been extremely helpful. Having her drive the van the way you want the first time is amazing. I had her do it a couple more times but really just for fun. Got the whole thing in 1 shot.
The Alabama Hills offer so many options for photos, it just comes down to where you want to be. This was a 30 sec exposure (it took her just that amount of time to drive through each pass).
I ended up doing some lightroom and photoshop work but just simple stuff (I had a LOT of hot pixels). There is a small light in the background from a hiker on Mt. Whitney which I thought was neat so I left it in.
