As close as it gets

My first, but not last trip to Death Valley and it was much hotter than I hoped for. I got all ready to jump on the dunes pre sunset and as soon as I stepped out of the van I regretted my choice.

I drive up t a viewpoint and camped out there to "enjoy" the heat and the view.

I was very surprised how much the colors of the dunes changed from before sunset, during, blue hour and after. Each shot looked very interesting.

This one is post sunset and I loved how the magenta colors came out. Shot at 600mm and sweating the whole time. lol
