This usually dry canyon probably has water flowing every rain or period of snow melt. But a river maybe every century, or so.
Photographically to avoid any wide-angle lens distortion I chose two vertical frames for a panoramic image.
Thank you, and yes Nathan you could say this canyon is a metaphor for almost any within slickrock country. Cycling between flood and parched happening 100 times per day, or 10’s of 100’s of days between arid and wet. Far, far too numerous to be considered cliches due to individual features that make each unique.
