Seasonal Fun Image of Skull Rock at Joshua Tree NP, California.

10mm · f/3.5 · 30 sec. · ISO 1600

A creative edit of a previous contest entry. It was taken at almost 3 am and is a single exposure which original was lit by the red headlamp I was wearing. I masked the skull and desaturated the red light, adjusted white balance, HDR sliders, and used Dodge and Burn masks to emphasize the "skull and shouldres" coming up from the ground.
I don't believe it's often that a natural existing landscape can be depicted in a fun way like this. I wish you all a happy, safe and fun Halloween!

Brahahah right back at you Frank now that it is officially Halloween ... great job from Joshua Tree, Happy Halloween to you, too!

It kinda was...3 am in the middle of the dark, quiet desert!
Still fun though!
