The white cat in Hallstatt

17 mm · f/5.0 · ISO 320

The cute cats of Hallstatt. 🐾🐈 This village doesn’t just have a scenic lake view over Hallstätter See, but is almost also a paradise for four-legged friends. They even have their own staircases leading to windows when they want to escape the attention of visitors.

The white cat lives in the house behind it, and she often waits for its owner to return from work in the afternoon. Cats just seem to know when dinner will be ready!

Captured with a Sony A7 III and a Tamron 17-28 lens.

Cat is framed in such a way that when used for a video call background it looks like the cat is sitting on my shoulder!

Hehe. That’s true. Although cats are difficult to capture up close. As you know, they get distracted easily if there’s food on the table or if there are other cats, dogs, birds around. Maybe I was just lucky! 🤞

That's very kind of much. Thanks! 🙏

Great photo and of course the story behind it.

Thank you, Christina. Highly appreciated! 🙌

Ryan Mense : Is there a reason why this and several other PotD contributions in December haven't been posted on the Fstoppers' Instagram account, or maybe it just has been delayed?

That would be highly appreciated, thank you. 🙌
