Siren´s Call

Right before the sun breaks over the horizon, when the sky catches fire and the sea still breathes a quiet calm, the Asturian coast feels like a portal to an ancient world.

Old legends say that among these jagged cliffs and sea caves dwell the Serenas (the sirens of Asturias). Unlike the sirens of other myths, the Cantabrian Serena doesn't always seek to lure sailors to their doom. Sometimes, her song simply drifts with the morning tide, celebrating the wild beauty of her home—half human, half fish.

They say that anyone lucky enough to hear her melody at the first light of dawn is forever bound to the magic of the North.

Today, these sharp rocks stand as silent witnesses to those old tales, as the Cantabrian Sea wakes up with this stunning display of color.
