Bell Rock stands beneath a turbulent Arizona sky as storm clouds gather below the Mogollon Rim. Photographing this scene brought the focus to the contrast between ancient stone, shifting clouds, and dramatic light.
Standing there as the weather continued to change was a reminder that the desert has another side beyond its iconic sunlit landscapes. Storms bring out a different kind of beauty—one defined by shadow, atmosphere, and the sheer scale of the landscape.
Captured with the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II and post-processed in Adobe Photoshop with the TK9 plugin, with final evaluation on a BenQ professional photography monitor.
