A moment you can't plan: During a short break on our hike around Lagoa Verde near Sete Cidades, camera on the table, snacks unpacked, attention completely focused on the moment.
And at that very moment, the unexpected happened: A robin curiously perched right next to us at the table – without any shyness, at eye level, within arm's reach. No setup, no preparation, no hesitation. Just a quick grab for the camera and a press of the shutter at the perfect moment.
This resulted in an extraordinary series of photographs that show the little visitor up close – authentic, vibrant, and full of character.
