I went down into this slot canyon. It was flooded because of recent heavy rains uncharacteristic for this Namibian desert area. There were rocks, water, light and shadow. Overall, nothing intrinsically photogenic. Then, I noticed how the light and shadow controlled the scene. There was also color because of the blue sky, the still water acting as a mirror and the amber colored rocks. These elements created a subject of interest for me.
