KING HARALD V - King of Norway 21.2 1937 - 28.8 2026

In connection to the passing of our beloved King Harald V today, I upload this photo of the Kings Castle in Oslo. I shot this in 2019. King Harald took over from his father King Olav V in 1991. King Olav V was the people`s King above any other. In 1973 during the oil and fuel crisis in the world, when driving was forbidden in Norway at sundays, he was spottet on the tram in Oslo. He was going to his regular ski session at Holmenkollen. Paid his ticket and sitting in a packed tram with others. No visible security. Behind him sat one of Norways first Pakistani`s. At one moment sleeping on the kings back, not knowing who it was... His son, King Harald V, was afraid he could not fill his fathers shoes, but he did. He became the new and unifying people`s King by all means. There has been enormous crowds in Oslo yesterday and today, mourning and putting down flowers.
