Pre-Dawn light illuminates Mt. Assiniboine and Sunburst peak, as seen from the Nub. Was fortunate to catch some great conditions in this area, with the larches in almost full color, and a fair amount of fresh snow on the mountains. I raced up to this spot to catch the last stars as they faded with the morning light. The soft glow from the pre-dawn light was so nice this morning. I spent 2.5 days up in this area, and unfortunately did not come back with much to show. This was my last morning there, and I'm pretty happy I was able to capture this, even if it is from the most popular place to shoot from up here. Hope to return one day.
This is 4 shots, 1 for the star sky, and then 3 for proper exposure of the land at 3 focal points blended together for DOF. The stars were shot at ISO 3200 for 20 seconds at f2.8, and the land portion was shot at iso 200 for 20 seconds at f5.6 just a short while later when there was more light. The focal length is 14mm.
