'4K Fjordlapse Norway' Is a Meditative Video Tour of the Country's Waterways

If you find water calming, this is for you. "4K Fjordlapse Norway" explores the country's beautiful fjords formed in glaciated valleys, showing off their elegant and tranquil nature.

It's not that we don't have water near Cleveland, where I live. It's just that our water is different — "different" in the "we set our river on fire twice" sense of the word. Alas. We still have LeBron.

Luckily, other parts of the world have less flammable and more striking bodies of water, the fjords of Norway being such an example. Because the valleys in which they reside were formed by retreating glaciers, fjords are typically surrounding by dramatic scenery that includes soaring cliffs framing the relatively untouched sea water that runs between them, as is evident above. I particularly appreciate that the film matches the peaceful nature of the waterways with its simple style. I tend to be of the mind that nature doesn't need help showing off, which is especially the case when viewing the Geirangerfjord, Hjörundfjord, and Storfjord fjords showcased here. The film was shot with the Sony a57 and a99 and used the PocketSlider for motion shots.
