On May 20th, one of the deadliest twisters in known history touched down in Moore, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City. The Tornado caused catastrophic damage to homes (over 13,000 of them were destroyed), infrastructure, schools and a hospital. Take a look at these powerful images showing the aftermath of the deadly Tornado as found on (the new) Flickr. The damage is estimated to cost an excess of $2 billion, but the physical damage is nothing compared to the the human loss: At least 24 fatalities, including 9 children and hundreds of injured people were reported.
You can help rescue and recovering efforts by donating to the Red Cross online or by texting 'REDCROSS' to 90999. This will automatically charge $10.00 to your cell phone bill. You can also donate to help feed tornado victims who have been left without anything.

This is all across the street from me. The second photograph was taken by Heath Dodd.
I have to drive past this every day. it's so sad. hard to keep your eyes on the road too :(
I'm grateful to be featured here however I feel I need to clear something up: my two photos in this article are from the Piedmont tornado in 2011, not the OKC tornado that just happened, I have been on tour documenting a band and was not home in Oklahoma to document any of what happened.
