For years, Instagram has been cultivating a community of some of the best photographers and creatives from around the world. They continue to grow at an astounding pace, and one of the best parts of the app is their InstaMeets, which were started by their own members in the early years. If you have never been a part of one, be sure to host or partake in one near you this weekend!
If you're not familiar, an InstaMeet is simply a photowalk based around those on Instagram and beyond. I myself have hosted monthly InstaMeets through my own local community page @IGersIndy for almost three years; this weekend is a holiday for us. Celebrating the 13th Worldwide Instameet Weekend is a way for the platform to promote and gather those in communities around the world to simply take and share photos.
This is a reminder to just get out there and shoot, share, and simply have fun! Want to see what one is like? Be sure to check the tag #circlecitysesh36 as the meetup develops and people begin to share throughout the walk.
The photos below are examples from meets in the past. Enjoy!
