Mt. Sneffels Sunrise

This is one of the largest Gigaramas I have done. The original shot measured 4.7 ft by over 32 ft. The versions shown is cropped to a 1:4 size. This shot was done morning of Oct. 5, 2013 County Rd 5 south of Ridgway, CO. The night before the temperature had dropped to 22 deg and a light dusting of snow covered the trees. Fall colors had started to change. The Scrub Oak was velvet reds and orange when I arrived at 6AM. By 9AM that morning they had all turned brown. Most of the Aspens were just starting to turn.

This original uncropped version of this panorama consists of 175 individual 22.5 mega-pixel images shot with Canon 5Diii at F 8.0, 1/50th of a second and ISO 100 using a 400mm lens. The cropped image as shown is:

1.152 Gigapixels
67892 x 16963 pixels
56.5" x 226" 300 ppi
