Tugela Falls

I'm still not sure if I like this image. It's a large panorama taken from the top of the Amphitheatre in the south african drakenberg. That tiny stream of water on the left, Tugela falls, is actually the worlds second largest waterfall. I took this shot on my first visit here, and the scene was just so overwhelming at sunrise that I couldn't decide on what to shoot, and ended up cramming everything into this one shot. So yeah, I'm not sure if this should be in my portfolio or not. The scene was certainly epic and worth shooting, yet compositionally this isn't to the standard I expect of myself. Because I know I should be able to get better results in a location like that.

Definitely worthy of anyone's portfolio. Although not for the purists of landscape compositions why don't you try 8x10 or square crop?

Thanks for your comment Andrew. I've thought about cropping this too, but I can't seem to get a balanced result. Which side of the frame would you suggest cropping out?

I would pull it in from the right

I'll give that a try, thanks.
