Romance in the Bamboo Forrest

Bamboo Forrest is probably one of the most well known attraction in Kyoto, and there is noway I was going to pass on that. When we got there, it was misty and it had just rain. Luckily, the sun broke through for a couple of minutes, and I was able to capture this image with my fujifilm x100s at 30th of a sec. The light was very dim, but once it was captured using proper exposure, the photo came to life.

The rain and mist really added that extra touch to this scene, giving a nice soft look. Even though the ground was wet, I shot a couple of photo on my stomach because I wanted to get more of the sky in, and show the height of these bamboos. However, it is the couple that stepped into the frame that made this photo extra special for me. What a romantic walk!

I would love to someday see this. Incredible feeling.

You should! It's a easy public commute to the bamboo forrest from downtown Kyoto. As you travel up the path of this bamboo forrest, you will come to an intersection, and a "museum" of this past actor's private home. Totally worth it, as you will be able to get really high and see the traditional homes in Japan. Then ass you're going backdown, you will be able to take a boat ride through the mountains. All of these are once in a life time experience!

Nice One!

Thank you for the compliment!

This is such an epic location!

Thank you! Sun breaking through after rain and belly flopping on wet ground certainly gave it a magical feel!
