Formentor Lighthouse

Luck played a big role in getting this photo. It was already the last day up in the North of Mallorca when the conditions were finally favorable enough to try to photograph the famous lighthouse.

But I had made the mistake to not scout any compositions the previous days. So with my flashlight I climbed around on the sharp rocks for nearly an hour until I finally came upon this composition.

This foreground presented the perfect lead into the frame and a good harmony with the clouds. Then, just as I had setup my camera, two cars drove towards the lighthouse. I quickly snapped a shot. Those two cars remained the only two that morning.
